Chocolate Sponge Cake

*For a 20cm diameter cake tin or ring.

  • 60g Milk

  • 250g Dark chocolate

  • 125g Butter

  • 3 units Eggs

  • 1.Put the milk, the chocolate and the butter in a bowl suitable for the microwave. Heat it for 30 seconds, stir and repeat it until all the ingredients are completely melted.

  • 2.In a big bowl, beat the eggs, add the stevia and mix.

  • 3.Add in the yogurt.

  • 4.Stir in the melted chocolate.

  • 5. Add the flour mixture in and the baking powder. Mix all the ingredients correctly.

  • 6.Pour into the chosen tin, previously greased.

  • 7.Bake at 170ÂșC for 35 minutes approximately.

  • 8.Leave it to cool down before unmoulding.

  • *To prepare the dairy-free version of this sponge cake, simply replace the milk and yogurt with vegetable milk and vegetable yogurt, and the butter with margarine.

  • *This sponge cake can be used in tons of different recipes. Also, it is delicious just like this.

  • *We used sweeteners, not sugar, in this recipe. However, due to its fat content, a moderate consumption is recommended for diabetics.
